The most important part of your email…

Let’s talk about something in emails that's super key but doesn’t always get the spotlight…

…The first thing you see when you crack open an email…

Yep, that's the 'Above The Fold' section.

That first look, that Above The Fold section when you pop open an email, should practically slap you awake with its intent.

Is it trying to sell you something, make you curious, make you laugh?

Whatever the vibe, it should be crystal clear without having to scroll.

You want to spark curiosity, make people want to dive deeper, hit that CTA button, or at the very least, keep reading.

Most of your sweat and tears should go into nailing this Above The Fold section.

Crafting that perfect headline, choosing an image that speaks volumes. That's where the magic happens.

"A headline is like the first chord of a hit song. If it grabs you, you're in for the whole ride."

Think about that for a second.

Your headline, that first blast of what's to come, is what hooks them.

Nail that, and you've not only caught their attention, you've practically got them on the hook, ready to hear your whole tune.

Make that first impression unforgettable.

Email of the week

We just talked about how important the Above The Fold section is.

Now check out this email.

This is what you want.

A strong headline that creates curiosity, but it also immediately shares 3 USPs. Plus, their CTA button “GIMME GREAT GUMMIES“ is just great and way more on-brand than the typical “SHOP NOW“.

When you scroll down, you get the typical “Zig Zag“ structure, a proven concept for a strong user experience. This is a great way to show off a few products.

Finally, the last part of this email is a list of product benefits—not features, but benefits. This is a strong way to end this email, especially in combination with the last CTA button: “BUNDLE AND SAVE“. This will trigger people to check out what they can save.

Overall, it's a great email; it has a nice build-up. And due to the 3 different backgrounds, it really has 3 distinct sections, that makes it easy on the eyes for people, and easy to scan.
